We now cross live to the Hardship Posting media room where journalists
and reporters the world over try to come up with words of outrage,
disgust and 'horreur' to sum up the phenomenon that is the Colonel
Ken circus... but you can't keep a bad man down!
Here, then, are a few examples of reviews, write-ups and features
on the author, the narrator and his worthy subjects from around
Asia (and beyond):

Reviews
From the UK to all points of Asia, those who dared review it said
nice things (and even kept their jobs!). Big Chilli magazine in
Thailand even gave over the cover and five pages of excerpt for
Vol 1, and backed-up with three pages of except for Vol 2. Other
publications such as Nexus, Expat Singapore, Hong Kong Standard
and Bangkok Post also gave us up to half a page of review.
Author profiles
Stu Lloyd is always happy to have a chat about his latest uncoverings
in the expat world, and share a laugh or two. Here are just three
of many profile examples from the Straits Times, Bangkok Post and
the Weekly Telegraph (UK).
Promos
We're always game for a laugh with your readers. Caption contests
have proved popular, for instance, putting words and thoughts into
the mouth of Colonel Ken drew a lively response for Nexus' international
readership. BC Magazine in Hong Kong offered signed copies of the
book, which we provided.
For Volume 3, we're encouraging newsletters and magazines to run
a "Hardship Posting Vol 3 - in bad taste" contest to tie
in with the ubiquitous Asian food court cover shot. Readers could
write in and say what their worst meal in Asia was, or the weirdest
menu item they've ever seen, or grossest thing they've ever eaten.
Everyone's got a favourite food experience in Asia!
